A couple of months ago, Hemo Times blew the whistle on several HTC's and NHF Chapters for applying for and receiving fraudulent Payroll Protection Program loans through the Small Business Association. Well, Nevada's only federally recognized HTC received a $350,000 PPP loan on May 3, 2020. The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center of Nevada's government funding just wasn't enough and had to get a PPP loan, which could have sent to a small business that really needed the funds.
The last time we checked, Hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders do not suddenly stop during a global pandemic. The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center was still in operation during the shutdown and this HTC has a pharmacy which means they were still billing insurance companies for patient's factor medication.

This is another prime example of fraud and we have reported this to the Inspector General for investigation.
